Huisinga / Huizenga / Houwinga

Who? Originally Albertus Huizenga/Houwinga and his brother Johannes came to America in 1873 and were in Chicago in 1880.

Albertus settled briefly in Orange City, Iowa before settling near Prinsburg, Minnesota in the 1880s.

The spelling was changed from Houwinga to Huizenga in the 1870s and to Huisinga before 1900.
